Title: Build Team Assistant 

Hours: Up to 28 hrs/week, non-exempt 

Start Date: ASAP 

Salary Range: DOE, Part-time, Temporary ($24–$26/hr)

 

Job Summary:

The Housing Authority of Southeastern Utah is seeking a new Build Team Assistant to help guide participants through the construction of their homes. The ideal candidate has some experience on construction sites, using tools, working outside, working with volunteers, teaching and explaining tasks, and problem solving in front of others. Training for specific tasks and the Mutual Self-Help system will be provided. This would be a good opportunity for someone with general experience who is looking to grow into a career in construction, or someone who has more experience but is interested in a more people-focused work environment.

Title: Maintenance Technician/Build Team Assistant 

Hours: M-Th 8-5 (may vary) 

Start Date: ASAP 

Salary Range: Non-exempt $28-32/hr DOE

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician / Build Team Assistant is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and inspection duties for Housing Authority-owned properties, while occasionally assisting with the support of the Mutual Self-Help Housing Program when available. The primary role of this position is to be a Maintenance Technician.  As HASU continues to add property management units to its portfolio it is the intent that the maintenance role will be full time. This position requires a combination of maintenance skills, construction knowledge, customer service, and project coordination ability.
